Why we built it

My wife claims to have mysophobia or some issue with noise.  So being a fan of submarine movies, I decided to make the coach rigged for ultra-quiet!  The major culprits: The generator and those pesky rooftop A/C units.   Having conquered the generator issue with the power plant, I still had those inefficient rooftop A/C units to deal with.  The solution was sort of simple.  Load a three ton mini-split in the back of the bus.  Easy right?

What we ended up building

My wife and I are on the road in a Tiffin Allegro Bus and we discover that we are prisoners to our generator.  So I set out to build an “always on” 50amp power plant with a custom designed Lithionics battery stack and a Victron 24v power system.  The size of the roof on the bus enables for a large solar footprint.  We chose to stop at 3100 Watts but there is plenty of room for expansion 😉
